There is a big box store retail apocalypse… and a housing crisis. Why shouldn’t these cancel each other out? I have a vision of modular living units that are easy to transport, easy to stack, made of recycled materials, that can be placed stand alone off grid, or tightly packed (400+) into an existing structure like a big box store. They can be used for affordable housing, subsidized housing, homeless shelters, disaster relieve shelters, backyard ADU’s, rooftop ADU’s, storage units, bathroom or shower units. Fit on trucks and trains. liftable with standard forklifts, and modularly expandable. My goal is to produce them for under $10,000.00 per unit.
